I am currently taking a sandwich year in industry (Sept 2015 - Sept 2016) as part of my English degree at Exeter Univeristy, and am looking to gain as much relevant experience as possible, driven by my ambition to work in television.
As a proactive, quick learner with strong organisation, interpersonal and communication skills, I am well equipped to work efficiently in a fast paced environment. My sense of initiative and positive attitude, coupled with my ability to listen effectively and think laterally, enables me to work productivley in a team and solve problems constructively. As an outgoing, sociable person, I am skilled at establishing and maintaining positive working relationships and enjoy working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
Though I am eager to gain experience working on a wide variety of genres, I am particularly interested in documentary making, fuelled by curiosity about exploring what makes each of us human, and a desire to tell real people's stories in touching and engaging ways. I am also excited by the potential of documentaries such as Kim Longinotto's "Dreamcatcher: Surviving Chicago's Streets" to move viewers and shed new light on controversial issues.
