I've been doing spoken word for 8 years now. I've won many slams in london and I've been a finalist in roundhouse poet of the year 2011. I want to try again this year to show the panelists how much I have improved as a writer and performer over the 5 years.I have many life things happen to me that has shaped me as a person and an artist. I've performed at soho theatre,lyric theatre and will be doing some spots in Edinburgh this year as well. I also helped with the research and development of BBC 1 xtra's spoken word season in June. In September I'm released my debut album independently as well as releasing a short film I've written and directed with the BBC. I'd very much like to be apart of the project in some way and hope to be considered.

I have extensive experience in producing visual Radio and filmmaking
.The college I attended gave me and seven other talented filmmakers an opportunity to take part in a 3 week work experience in Germany Berlin. We created a short documentary on the history of graffiti in Berlin and
the Berlin wall, this experience then gave me talents that allowed me to direct a  BBC outreach documentary. ‘Is the BBC for me?’ were we asked the question if the BBC workforce truly reflected the population of Britain and will they be more excepting if a young working class person wanted to join the
BBC team. In 2013 I was excepted onto the prestigious BBC academy 1 year production course. Where I got to work with BBC radio comedy. I shot and edited the promotional video for the 2014 BBC new comedy award. This was then shown to the BBC trust as an example of what the BBC needs to do more of. I'm currently working as a visualisation assistant producer at BBC RADIO 1 AND 1XTRA. During my time there I have developed visual ideas for the BBC radio 1xtra and been kept in charge of the general running of the youtube page.During my time there I have brought up subscribers to over 140,000. Apart from Radio 1 This is more than all the other BBC radio stations youtube channels combined.
