About
I'm a very confident and experienced self-shooting Series Director, specialising in observational documentaries (single films/series). I've done lots of access-based programmes, maintaining relationships with contributors and institutions such as the police, NHS, various companies; and I'm known for getting the best from contributors.
I'm currently making an observational documentary for BBC2 about the House of Lords, the follow up to the acclaimed "Inside The Commons".
I've made many high profile docs, including The Secret Life of Students (Ch4), The Midwives (BBC2), Demolition: The Wrecking Crew (BBC2) and The Planners (BBC2).
I made a critically aclaimed First Cut film for Channel 4 in 2009 (Wild Things), and I won a commission to make a 60-minute single for the competitive BBC Three *Fresh* strand in 2010 (Alice & Her Six Dads).
I have over 10 years experience of working in factual TV: BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five, & Sky One in UK; and Nat Geo in US (iVisa until 2016).
I enjoy setting up and managing projects, as a director or series director. I was recently selected to take part in the Series Producer Programme 2016 (Skillset/BBC/Ch4 etc).
