I am the Founder and Director at Bird Lime Media - a production company offering training, mentoring and paid work experience to people from low income backgrounds so they can break into the media industry.
Last year I set up Bird Lime Media to create content for brands and broadcasters but also to help diversify teams by training people who might not feel like the industry is closed off to them. I offer mentoring and skills training to a select few people, then on an ad hoc basis, offer them paid work experience on our shoots.
I have a worked in the media industry for 15 years, having worked for large broadcasters and organisations - including BBC, ITV, Press Association, Huffington Post and Save the Children.
