About
I'm a script editor, creative producer and general developer with a penchant for all things narrative with experience working for companies including Sister, House, Moonage, Wigwam Films and more. I'm also a talent assessor for schemes like the Bafta Rocliffe New Writing Competitions, iFeatures and Creative England's collaboration with Netflix 'Breakout'.
Alongside my creative work I also have a pragmatic streak, having been a logistics manager in the tourism industry and set up my own international tutoring company working all over Europe.

Experience
-
Podcast Producer
I work with political advocacy strategist Stephen Tibbett on his podcast series with episodes looking at the suffragettes, surfers against sewage, spycops, Hillsborough, and other campaigns. I focus on background research, question writing, guest booking and audio production support.
-
Freelance Script Editor and Reader
I provide development assistance for Oscar-nominated actor Riz Ahmed's new production company, helping him to build up his slate of film and TV projects and develop those already on there. On top of this I script edit for Martin Gentles and Ed King, producers of Remi Weekes' BAFTA-winning debut HIS HOUSE. I also assess scripts and books for literary adaptation for a bevvy of leading UK indie production companies - including Olivia Colman's South of the River Pictures, Sister (makers of CHERNOBYL), House (makers of BREXIT: THE UNCIVIL WAR), Moonage Pictures (makers of THE PURSUIT OF LOVE) and more. I carry out research and assess a story’s creative and commercial viability. So I read a lot of scripts and books in all genres and am skilled in assessing their potential and that of the talent behind them, giving me oodles of first hand experience developing distinctive, mould-breaking stories for both the small and large screen.
-
Talent Assessor
I assess scripts for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing awards and am also a consultant for iFeatures, the scheme behind Alice Birch and William Oldroyd’s LADY MACBETH, Daniel Kokatajlo’s APOSTASY and Stacey Gregg’s upcoming HERE BEFORE. This involves assessing everything from feature film screenplays to snippets of TV episodes as well as show bibles, character bios and the filmmaking talent attached to a project. These two roles give me great insight into up-and-coming UK filmmaking talent.
-
Literary Adaptation Consultant
Assessing books (mostly pre-published) ripe for Film or TV adaptation. This covers new and established authors alike with some recent books coming from canonic authors such as David Mitchell, Nick Hornby and Patricia Highsmith as well as newer talent like Hafsa Zayyan, Charmaine Wilkerson and Yasmin Angoe.
-
Development Assistant
Working in-house for BAFTA-winning producers Emily Leo and Oliver Roskill, and also their producing partners Ivana MacKinnon (BEAST) and Pat Howson (SOUND OF METAL), overseeing the whole development process from nose to tail. Day-to-day, my duties involved workshopping ideas with writers, compiling notes on drafts, writing synopses, handling submissions, managing databases of scripts and talent, creating lookbooks and longer pitch documents, carrying out research projects, meeting with agents and writers, scouting for talent, updating drafts on Final Draft and ensuring that all relevant parties have the latest version, being the first point of contact not just for writers but for all people getting in touch with the company, and anything else that came up really. I kept the plates spinning on a diverse Film and TV slate. But I also had to multi-task a lot as I was the de facto right hand man to 4 producers as well as the office manager overseeing all company admin and logistics. So I’m adept at multi-tasking, prioritising my own workflow and have equal creative and practical chops. Projects I’ve worked on include HBO's RUN, the BAFTA-winning UNDER THE SHADOW and Jim Hosking's oddball Sundance comedy AN EVENING WITH BEVERLY LUFF LINN.
-
Development Intern
Working for producers Julia Godzinskaya and Sophie Vickers on their slate including Robert Eggers' multi-award-winning debut THE WITCH starring Anya Taylor Joy, Kate Dickie and Ralph Ineson.
