Christopher Mear (b. 1990) is a photographer born and based at the heart of The National Forest in Leicestershire, England. In 2013 Snibston Discovery Museum (Leicestershire) organised a large exhibition of Mear's work entitled Disintegrating Histories. Snibston also published a book of Mear's work, Just Passing By, culminating a six-month residency at the museum, in 2014. Chris has been the recipient of several awards, including the Free Range Art Award (2010). Since 2012, Mear has worked with many clients, including; The National Forest, People Express, Leicestershire County Council and The Woodland Trust, specialising in portrait and documentary location work. Mear is represented by Degree Art in London.
