Since graduating from university with a 2:1 in Drama, Theatre and Performance, I have worked on a variety of projects in both film and theatre. I most recently worked with the National Theatre as a grade 3 Prop Maker. Prior to this, I completed an internship with Propworks (Lizzie Props) where I worked on a variety of theatre productions before being hired on as a paid prop maker. In film, I spent a week in the Art Department for Cats the Musical as work experience, where I did model making, set dressing and prop dressing. I also completed work experience a year prior on the set of Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance where I was working as a set dresser for the Greens Department. In addition to working on a variety of other paid and unpaid projects, in 2019 I designed and made three different puppets for a production which went to the Brighton fringe. I have learned a lot of my current skills on the job or through my own research, as I continue to build my skill base with every project I do. I can visualise concepts and ideas and I am very good at thinking on my feet, as I have often had to work my way around problems when using new materials.

1. Prop Maker (Grade 3)

   My job role at the National Theatre involved working across a variety of props and materials for their Christmas show HEX the musical. Examples include, making structural adjustments to metal ladders and texturing to make them appear and move like wood, adding lace detail to a puppet, working on a large crib furniture piece amongst other projects.

   For this role I was adjusting, distressing, dressing and finishing props for Singing in The Rain at Sadler's Wells Theatre. This involved working across a wide range of materials and props.
