Olasunkanmi Adebayo, Actor and Director, was the best graduating student in his Theatre Arts class at the University of Ibadan where he majored in directing. He also holds a certificate in cinematography at the London Film Academy and is currently studying for a Masters in Directing for Film and Television at the Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom. Adebayo has produced and directed films, talk shows and musical concerts and also served as a writer for TV shows, sitcoms and documentaries. He has directed and developed content for Closer Pictures, South African Production Company, Rapid blue format, Ultima Studios and Audio Visual First Limited  in Nigeria. Olasunkanmi recently directed two feature length movies Spotlight, House Husband(2015) and a TV comedy series Desperate Housegirls(2014).  

He was also a teacher and facilitator on acting workshop and performance at Emem Isong’s Royal Arts academy. He has also directed and written television commercials, documentaries and TV shows. Olasunkanmi was content/series director and writer for Malta Guinness street dance Africa, Nigerian Idol, Seriously Speaking, Celebrity takes two, MTN Project Fame West Africa and Amstel Malta Box office as well as Post-production co-ordinator on the talk show, Moments with MO, produced by Inspire Africa for M-net Television. 

His stage directorial credits include Athol Fugard’s Sizwe Bansi is Dead, Femi Osofisan’s Sizwe Restless Run of Locusts, Midnight Blackout and The Engagement, the Indian play Girish Karnad’s Hayavadana, QPH by the Sistren Theatre Collective of Jamaica, Makbutu-the adaptation of Macbeth by Chuck Mike, Wole Soyinka’s Madmen and the Specialist and many other plays. He was in the directing team for the play Itan Oginitin an adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘The Winter’s Tale’ at Shakespeare’s Globe in London. He was also part of the team that represented Nigeria at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2014 with the play The Tarzan Monologues produced by Renegade Theatre.

He is passionate about film and theatre and loves to teach and impact knowledge. A practically oriented thespian, resourceful and willing to learn more and push the frontiers of arts and culture in Nigeria. He is comfortable teaching, acting and directing for television, film and stage.
