Sound Engineer and Digital Sales Planner for EMEA and Programmatic Executive

  • Location: Milton Keynes

I have a strong passion for music, technology and media resulting in an enthusiastic and a highly motivated urge to work in an industry that I adore. I have a vast range of skills (such as; recording, producing, sound mixing, project managing, marketing strategies, artist management and creative thinking) that I am continually adding to as I face new skills head on. I work well within a team, in which I have had experience within many situations, such as the Duke of Edinburgh award and various successful group projects at University and within previous work placements; I work equally as well on my own. I have experience working with the public and I am confident in approaching and dealing with public relations. I view myself as a product of technology and have a vast understanding of computers, DAW’s and social networks. I am confident at using the following digital audio workstations; Pro Tools HD, Logic Pro, Abelton, Repear, Reaktor and Cubase. I have completed various placements of volunteer work over the past 8 years, where I have dedicated as much time as possible. I am devoted to working hard and I am willing to work all hours and do what is necessary to get the job done.

I am currently working at BBC Worldwide as a Digital Sales Planner for the EMEA Markets as well as assisting in programmatic growth; these roles have enabled me to gain valuable experience in communication among people of different cultures, time management skills, and to be able to emerge myself within the values of BBC and editorial guidelines. As well as having a role within the BBC I have been able to have great opportunities to network within BBC Radio. I have managed to set up many trails/visit to such shows such as Loose Ends on BBC Radio 4, The Infinite Monkey Cage, BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show and NGA on BBC Radio 3. As well as having an amazing opportunity of learning how to use a desk in the studio that Loose Ends is recorded in. From this, I have learned how commercial Radio works and how different shows are run by a different number of teams.
