About
I have directed several short films, features, music videos, corporates videos and avant garde art films. My work has been shown and selected at several film festivals internationally and on UK TV. I recently wrote and directed B Negative, a comedy feature which was selected for the Comedy World Network Film Festival in Las Vegas. I run Mollusc Films, a small produciton company based in Yorkshire creating features for the international market.
I have composed over 100 pieces of music for features, shorts, documentaries, adverts, musicals, theatre, contemporary dance, literature festivals, video art and exhibition spaces. My music has been played internationally in cinemas and festivals and from UK Radio 4 to Polish independent radio, from Channel 4 to The Smithsonian Institute. I write for any combination of instruments and styles from brass bands to EDM, orchestras to sound-scapes. I scored the award winning comedy feature The Best Little Whorehouse in Rochdale and recently for John Godber’s feature film, The Last Laugh and my own feature B Negative. I have been in several bands and made many recordings including a single which achieved NME Single of the Week. I am currently in a street band that performs in parades across the North.
