Animator
Jess is a director, animator and filmmaker originally from Dublin, Ireland, living and working full time in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Since joining Jam Media in 2016, Jess has worked in a variety of roles on a number of high profile children's TV shows including Amazon's upcoming preschool series ‘Jessy & Nessy’, Nickelodeon's ‘Becca's Bunch’, CBBC's ‘Little Roy’ and ‘Zogcast’ and most recently as an Assistant Director on an exciting new show called ‘Aha! Island’ for WGBH in the USA.
In 2016 Jess got the chance to write and direct a pilot episode for ‘Mystery Soup’, a series created by Victoria Manifold and Hannah Jacobs, the winners of BBC’s pitch programme ANIM8 ‘16.
In 2019 she created and directed a music video combining live-action and animation for Irish band The Riptide Movement
Jess completed her first professional short film 'The Wiremen' in 2018, recieving the Oscar qualifying James Horgan Award at The Galway Film Fleadh 2018, Best Irish Animation at the Animation Ireland Awards 2019 and Best Short Animation at the Dublin animation Film Festival ‘19. The short has gone on to screen internationally at festivals in America and Europe, as well as at home in the UK and Ireland.
