I'm a writer, actor, musician/singer, creative collaborator, and work in visual art across photography, film, illustration, and live performance. I’ve been writing since I was nine years old. Always with an attraction to style and substance, creating an original voice.
I learned keyboard very young, tthen learned drums, and played bass in a band where I took up teaching myself guitar which became my main instrument. I wrote an recorded two records written and produced by myself. I then went to university to study Film Production Technology where I focused on music video and short film. After graduating I was approached by Random House's publisher Vintage developing a novel. i later self-released the novel and was written about in Guardian. I combined my talents in to my present work. I enjoy everything I do, and my portoflio highlights my diverse skills and the intensity of my passion.
In 2013, I began designing, printing, and handmaking my own books of my writing. A full story from the book was featured in Dazed & Confused digital edition. By December 2013 I was short-listed as a runner up for the international Prada Journal Prize for my story 'Slow Summer'.
Since then, I worked with printmaker Alice Russell to create lino-cut images for every poem in our book DREAMERS.
I worked with composer Ed Betella to create a piece of music written for an all male choir based on my poem 'Dust'. I worked with Betella again on a poem called 'Sunset Flood' written for piano and wind instruments.
I wrote a poetic passage for the English National Ballet called ECSTASY & DEATH, and a mini-opera for the English National Opera.
I wrote a third book called VANILLA. My longest book yet, and worked with photographer Cleo Glover on a series of photographs inspired by the book.
After being asked to perform a 45 minute show at The Holburne Museum of Art, I decided to create a more exciting performance than just a live reading of my work and create my own pieces of music to perform along with my poetry. To create an engaging stage setting I collaborated with Charlotte Cousins to create a fragmented video projection installation piece. A few months later I was interviewed by Boys By Girls Magazine for my work to date. I've since showcased my work performed my music poetry a Kraak Gallery, The Others Art Space, and the Arnolfini.
I have performed live in London May 1st and August 25th will perform live in Bath in The Nest for an electronic music set, and at a church with classical musicians.
