About
I have been directing television programmes for almost 20 years across a variety of genres with stints as a Deputy Series Producer and a Series Director. As well as making flagship shows for BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, ITV1, ITV2, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky 1, Sky Arts and TLC I have also produced hours of content across other platforms for broadcasters, corporations and charities.
I direct with flair, have a great eye for a story and a very good understanding of the edit. As comfortable directing multi camera shoots with A List talent as I am self-shooting more intimate stories.
I received critical acclaim for a Channel 4 documentary I presented about begging in 2003, in 2014 I sat on the Edinburgh TV Festival committee and a series I directed across, ‘It Was Alright in the 70s’won both a Scottish RTS award and a BAFTA in 2015.
I am currently on this year’s prestigious ScreenSkills Series Producer Programme.
