Lexia Tomlinson is a 21 year old poet and actress; based in Birmingham. Her first introduction to the spoken word scene was through Future Poets festival at MAC (Midlands Arts Centre) which she helped produce at the age of 17. Since then she then has gone on to perform and write for many events: God’s Property, Hushed Tones, Next Gen Fest, Epic Encounters, Wychwood festival and most recently Cracked.
Her main ethos when it comes to her work is honesty; she aims to make audiences understand that the political is personal and the personal is political.
She is now entering a new stage in her career,being a feature act at spoken word nights, and as a member of a new feminist theatre company 'Daughters of Eve'.
