I am early career director with projects in development with the Royal Court, Royal and Derngate in Northampton and HighTide.

My background is almost exclusively in new writing. In 2011, I set up Made By Brick (www.madebybrick.com), a new writing company that stages original contemporary stories with characters, voices and perspectives that are rarely seen onstage. Our 2013 production was ‘Responsible Other’ at Hampstead Theatre (downstairs), which I wrote and directed, received four stars from The Times, The Independent, The Evening Standard, Time Out and What’s On Stage. In 2014 we staged the debut production of ‘Saxon Court’ at Southwark Playhouse by satirist by Daniel Andersen. I also recently directed 'Tender' by Abi Morgan for Royal Welsh College.

Earlier this year, I worked for six months as Staff Director to Marianne Elliott at the National Theatre on Rules for Living, a new play by Sam Holcroft which starring Stephen Mangan and Miles Jupp. As an Assistant Director I have worked on a project or freelance basis for other prominent theatres and companies including The Gate, Donmar Warehouse, Trafalgar Studios, HighTide (where I also worked as a reader for the Literary team), Soho Theatre and Tamasha. I was also part of the National Theatre Studio’s Director’s Course in 2013 and Channel Four screenwriter's initiative in 2014.

This year I had the opportunity to work with the Old Vic, directing a reading of ‘The End of Something’ by American playwright Chad Beckim, the closing piece of the OVNV 2015 Festival.
