After studying for a first-class BA in English Literature, I knew that I wanted to focus on learning the craft of writing. I was lucky enough to study for an MSc in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh, a huge learning curve for me. During this year of studying not only did I write a novella, but I was also published for the first time through Pankhearst's Single Club, who create e-books, and my short story "Wilfrid Moore's Eventful Day" is available on Amazon worldwide. It was also during this time that my love of theatre became prominent: having previously been chosen as one of 12 writers to be selected for a in-progress staging of my monologue in Bristol, A Question's Mark, I went on to become in involved with Bedlam Theatre. Twice my work was selected to be performed at their Candlewasters evening, once for My Brother, the Clown (which was later staged again at the Bristol in-progress event) and also for my play Cowboys and Indians Playing Scrabble.

Since this time I have had continued success with my fiction work, which can be found in: Anomaly Lit Magazine, Riding Light Magazine, Noble/Gas Qrtrly, Williwaw Anthology, and most recently in Unthology 9 published by Unthank Books.

Last summer I also was selected to be a Young Writer for a project with Tobacco Factory Theatre and Travelling Light Theatre Company; this was a two-week theatre school for disadvantaged children in Bristol, working to create an original piece of theatre based on the works of Roald Dahl.

As well as curently working full-time as an editorial assistant in London, I also work as a fiction reader/editor for Shantih Journal, a literary magazine based in the US. (Trust me, my evenings are wild.)
