Peter deGraft-Johnson is a multidisciplinary artist and writer based in London. As 'The Repeat Beat Poet' he is currently working in the medium of spoken word and Hip Hop inspired performance poetry. Steeped in a taste for the everyday wonders of the world and with often political, always rhythmic, and meticulously crafted poetry, The Repeat Beat Poet underpins abstract concepts with honest vulnerability and soulful intention in his writing, and is undoubtedly, a tea addict.
Peter is a co-founder and Publicity/A&R Co-ordinator of The PAD, an artistic space and recording studio in Chadwell Heath, East London, run by the PAD Collective - www.facebook.com/thepadtv/
Peter has also worked as a film journalist for TimeOut, The Prince Charles Cinema, Screenjabber, alongside editing 20FourFrames, the University of East London's film magazine.
