Hello all!

I am a Finnish Production and Costume Designer/Art Director/Art Department Assistant looking for opportunities in the film and television industry.  I studied Set and Costume Design in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and have graduated this July as a Bachelor of Arts.

I have been involved with 12 short films, a short opera and four small-scale music videos in roles, such as a production designer, art director, wardrobe supervisor and art department assistant. I often worked alone or with a small team, taking care of design, sourcing and altering props and costume, draughtting, model making, prop making, and continuity on film shoots. At times I also managed to help with the film kit, location scouting and catering. The productions have taught me a great deal of combining creative and organisational skills, and handling several complex projects simultaneously.

In the Conservatoire we also managed to take part in some unusual projects such as organising a fine art exhibition, and creating an experimental theatre / film performance. My studies have given me a a lot of experience in handling complicated projects independently, as well as in working as a part of a team. The tempo of the studies has been quite brisk, which has advanced my ability to balance and schedule several projects at once.

In addition to film, I have previously worked in several parts of the service sector, the most important one being a waitressing / sales position in a restaurant on a Finnish Golf course. The position was a perfect example of maintaining a good level of customer service in a busy environment. I have also worked with Theatre Royal, King’s Theatre and National Theatre of Scotland in Glasgow, as a Front of House member.

In the Conservatoire we received Health and Safety training in topics such as Fire Safety and Manual Handling. I also have a driver’s licence from Finland, which is valid here in the UK.
