I am a theatre practitioner with interests primarily in issue based theatre and writing. I have experience in working with vulnerable communities such as people with EAL, SEN and mental health needs in personal and professional settings. I have also done a lot of work with LGBT young people. I enjoy working with people of all ages and am equipped with the skills to work with people from the ages of 3-100! I am an eclectic artist and like to use music, film and movement to connect with my participants during facilitation. I believe that as well as creating a therapeutic environment for participants, it is important for people to feel like they have creative freedom over their own work and as I lead projects, I endeavour to provide this freedom. As a freelance practitioner, I have the freedom to dedicate my time wholly to the projects that matter most to me; I am always on the lookout for opportunities to work in new settings and network with fresh talent as well as establishing my own work as a writer and performer.
I have recently completed the Barbican Young Poets Programme 2014/15 and have worked towards a portfolio of work contributing to a published anthology and live performance. With coaching and development from internationally renowned poet Sam-La Rose, I will be performing on Barbican stages as well as across London stages and poetry venues. I am now a trainee faciliator for the Barbican Junior Poets Programme working with 11-16 year olds.
