Hello. I'm Tom and I'm from Lancashire.
I graduated as an actor from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in 2012 and have gone on to work with the RSC, Soho Theatre, the BBC, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre and others across theatre, television and radio.
I'm also a writer. MARTHA was produced by BBC Radio Four in 2017 and has since been submitted for the Imison Award.
HYMN was longlisted for BBC Radio Drama North’s 2016 Alfred Bradley Award.
PEACOCKS was longlisted for the Royal Exchange’s Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting in 2015
And having been named Highly Commendable at Soho Theatre’s 2013 Verity Bargate Award, my debut play DEAD PARTY ANIMALS won the Adrian Pagan Award and was then produced by the King’s Head Theatre at the Hope Theatre, Islington. It went on to receive three OFFIE nominations – Best Actor, Best Sound and Most Promising New Playwright.
“We were delighted to discover Thomas’ funny, raw and poignant play. In this script, you sense the confident voice of a young writer who loves words, who wants to unite his audience in the pleasure and power of a good story, a writer who treats you to a specific generation and region.” – Nina Steiger, Senior Dramaturg at the National Theatre speaking about DEAD PARTY ANIMALS.
