Directing credits include: James Fritz's Ross & Rachel, which premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2015 to wide acclaim, winning the Stage Award for Acting Excellence for its performer Molly Vevers, touring nationally and to New York in 2016 and touring nationally again in 2017; John O'Donovan's debut play If We Got Some More Cocaine I Could Show You How I Love You at the Old Red Lion, which tours Ireland in 2018; comedian David Elms' debut play Siren (Edinburgh Fringe 2017); Stewart Melton's Followers (Southwark Playhouse), and James Fritz's debut play LINES. He trained at the National Theatre Studio, and in 2011 was a finalist for the JMK Award for Young Directors.

Thomas is a script reader for the Bush, co-curates the feted videogames-and-performance night Beta Public, and works regularly as a youth practitioner and workshop leader in schools, arts centres and theatres.

Upcoming work includes Sing Before You Speak Again, a new song cycle for choirs commissioned by the Young Vic Taking Part Department, for performance in November, and tours of Ross & Rachel and If We Got Some More Cocaine...
