Hi there!

I'm a freelance composer who loves exploring the relationship between music and visual art in as many different mediums as possible.

In 2013 I composed a contemporary dance called 'Three Syndromes' (video below) which I was lucky enough to get performed by dancers at the Northern Ballet building in Leeds (which needless to say was an amazing experience!). During my time in Leeds I also composed a full orchestral piece which was performed live by both the Leeds Community Symphony Orchestra and the de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra. Both experiences taught me a lot about the restrictions and advantages of working with live musicians, and provided me with a great introduction to the reality of forming a career as a composer.

At the end of 2015 I composed the music for a brand new theatre piece called 'The Surge' (audio clip below),  which had a short sell out run in Camden last year, and which has recently been adopted by the Lambeth Green party to launch their electoral campaign this year. We have also just received a grant from King's College to take this show to the Edinburgh Fringe this year. The music for this was much more stripped back in terms of instrumentation than anything I'd previously written, as the score contains just classical guitar and mandolin (which I also play in the show).

I'm currently working on the music for a short animated film which will be a combination of electronic and acoustic instruments.
