Francis works as the Literary Manager at the Finborough Theatre in London where she specialises in seeking out new plays and building relationships with emerging playwrights. She has also assisted with the dramaturgy for plays in Vibrant Festival, RADA Festival and read for the Papatango and the Bruntwood Prize.

Her primary focus is on collaboration within the arts. In 2014, she co-facilitated The Old Red Lion Theatre Playwriting group, alongside Ben Weatherill and continues to work with writers from that group. She is also involved with Theatre 1880, a new company and collaborative platform formed by the front of house staff at The Old Vic Theatre.

Francis studied playwriting at Goldsmiths where she completed an MA in Writing for Performance with a Distinction. Her plays have been presented at RichMix ('Flash', IdeasTap), Southwark Playhouse ('Alisa Takes Russia', Theatre Renegade), The Vaults ('Sea-Monkey Killers', Theatre1880), The Pleasance ('Miles Davis and Other Deaths', Etch Theatre) and recently The Owl and Cat in Melbourne, Australia ('Flash', Black: Season 2).
