About
Alice Rosso is a writer and director based in London. She started her filmmaking career in 2013 in New York, where she studied at the New York Film Academy and worked on the feature film “Interpreter of Maladies”. After graduating in screenwriting and directing, she worked in London for the agency Independent Talent Group as a Script Reader and for On the Corner Films with Academy and BAFTA award winning Director Asif Kapadia and Producer James Gay Rees.
Her first film "I'm Here" has been selected by over ten international festivals and won the "Award of Excellence for Writing" at the Southern Shorts Awards. Her feature scripts got her into the Kinoteka Development Lab and won the StoryPlanner competition sponsored by BBC Writer's Room. She has also been selected to be part of the talent pool Bafta Guru Labs 2017. She is now a freelance writer and director working on her own projects with award-winning productions such as The Mill, Five Fifty Five Productions, Pins and Needles Media and many more.
