About
My name is Ciara Mc Larnon and I am 23 years old. Recently I have obtained a 2.1 degree in Film Studies at Queen’s University, Belfast.
For the past four months I have been working as a Film Counselor at Frenchwoods Festival of Performing Art in New York. It was an amazing experience as it gave me the opportunity to teach classes in film, create short films every day and film shows the camp put on. It was an amazing experience and I made friends from all over the world.
I have experience working on films and TV sets as a Trainee DIT, Video Assist and Runner. I have experience working on two feature films, Game of Thrones, RTE National Treasures and short films. I also took part in the BFI film academy networking course where I made a short film called 'Dave' and was mentored by industry proffesionals. After taking part in the BFI I was eligible to apply for the BAFTA mentoring scheme and fortunatley my application was successful. I was mentored by BAFTA winning editor Una Ni Dhongaile for 3 months. Recently I entered my final year short film 'Anorexia Nervosa' into Cinemagics young filmmakers competition where it won 'Best Documentary'.
