JUSTIN MARTIN is an award winning director working in theatre, film and television. He has worked throughout North America, Europe and Australasia.

Justin most recently directed critically acclaimed, sell out productions of THE JUNGLE (A Young Vic/National Theatre co-production), and LOW LEVEL PANIC (Galway Theatre Festival, Irish National Tour and Old Fitz Theatre, Sydney). Other recent directing credits include: LAST CHANCE: A PLEA FOR THE UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN OF CALAIS [starring Carey Mulligan, Juliet Stevenson, Vanessa Redgrave and Sam West] (Young Vic); THE NETHER (Seymour Centre, Sydney), FAR AWAY (fortyfivedownstairs, Melbourne), FIFTY TWO (The Leicester Square Theatre); GOOD CHANCE/NO CHANCE (as part of the Southbank Centre's Festival of Love); HARVEY AND FREIDA (the Arcola); STREET (Mick Laly Theatre - Galway Theatre Festival), THE KITCHEN (HM Theatre, Ballarat) and SKINTIGHT (fortyfivedownstairs, Melbourne)

Justin has had a long association with director STEPHEN DALDRY. He is currently his associate director for Matthew Lopez new play THE INHERITANCE (Young Vic). He was the associate director of the critically acclaimed SKYLIGHT [starring Bill Nighy and Carey Mulligan] at the Wyndham’s Theatre and THE AUDIENCE [starring Helen Mirren] at the Gielgud Theatre. Justin transferred both to Broadway in 2015. He also worked with JOHN TIFFANY and STEVEN HOGGETT on the National Theatre of Scotland’s production of LET THE RIGHT ONE IN at Dundee Rep, the Royal Court and the Apollo Theatre. He was an associate director on BILLY ELLIOT - THE MUSICAL l working on Broadway, throughout North America, Korea, Amsterdam and Australia.

Alongside this Justin is working with Stephen Daldry and Peter Morgan on their television series THE CROWN, the first series of which aired in November 2016. He is currently working on Series 2 in the UK and South Africa.

Justin was an Associate Director with Ironbark (London) and a resident dramaturge for The Living Room Theatre Company (Australia). In 2005, he was the inaugural recipient of the Roger Leach Award for Theatre.
