About

I started indie label IKS Records in 2003, and set up Rewind Poster Music Publishing shortly after. As a songwriter, in 2006 my band, Adventure Club were signed, and from that experience I wrote my first novel “27 “. It was described by Radio 4’s Ian Marchant as, “One of the greatest rock and roll novels ever written”. I also have short stories published in the collections, Finding a Voice and The Sea in Birmingham.

My first short film script, “The Turtle and The Hare” was selected as a finalist for the Script Factory/Screen West Midlands, “Broad Street Short Stories Competition”. I won the award for Best Screen Play from the National Academy of Writing in 2011, was picked for the 2017 BAFTA Guru, and was longlisted for the BBC Writers Room, and a quarter finalist of the Shore Script TV Drama Competition in the same year.

In 2018, I co-produced my short film script, “3ft From the Other Side” with  Tom Anderson Productions, and my TV drama series, “Too Much, Too Young”, was acquired by Kudos TV and is now in development.

In 2019 the screenplay for my female lead heist, "Maggie" was picked up by Gizmo Films, with Carl Tibbetts attached to direct; and the feature of 3ft From The Other Side is now in Early Development with the BFI. I am also a member of BAFTA/BFI Crew 2019.

I  have written several screen plays and treatments for film and TV with director, Carl Tibbetts (Black Mirror, Woman in White). Mammoth Screen, brought our dark, TV drama about the rise of the young Dick Turpin “Highwayman”. Our Sci -fi feature, “Amelia” was acquired by Secret Hideout (Universal Studios) and NBC Universal optioned “Saved” a psychological TV drama. We are currently writing a feature film and developing a new TV drama with Humans producer, Paul Gilbert.
