About
David Crackles: Sound designer, Dubbing mixer, location recordist and audio operator.
I fell in love with radio and audio at university whilst engineering a friend’s radio show. From then on I was hooked. I spent two years working casually for BBC Radio York before moving to London and into a junior role for a localisation agency. I spent six years there learning the trade before moving back to radio production - becoming an engineer for Unique Facilities in West London. I then moved to Somethin’ Else to work on more television and digital audio before becoming freelance.
Based in Sheffield, I have full versions of Protools and Cubase. I also regularly use Reaper and I am fully trained on SADiE.
