I am a Lecoq-trained physical theatre practitioner and theatre maker, with a particular interest in puppetry, mask and animation/film in performance.
My solo work incorporates physically engaged storytelling and my own animations. I'm not that keen on creating autobiographical work, preferring to dabble in magical realism and the absurd.
I am always interested in new collaborations across a range of disciplines, and am available for freelance workshop facilitation in physical theatre (Lecoq and technical skills i.e. mime), graphic fiction and creative writing.
I co-founded theatre ensemble Rhum and Clay in 2010, and was co-artistic director until March 2016. I now work on a freelance basis with other companies, as well as on my own solo pieces.
As an illustrator, I work with pen, ink and watercolour. I have created editorial illustration for various blogs and sites, as well as graphic short stories, book covers and more.
I have co-created a children's activity book called Make Faces (published by Ivy Press).
I have also written several pieces for the stage: 64 SQUARES (Edinburgh Fringe 2015, UK Tour) **** The Guardian, **** The Observer **** The List **** Fest; Last Night Things Happened, Underbelly (Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2009); It Falls, Theatre 503 (Rapid Write Response, 2011 and Rapid Write Rewind, 2012); The Martyr, Theatre 503 (Rapid Write Response, 2012).
