About

Luca is a writer and performer based in Newcastle and an Associate Artist of ARC Stockton. She believes in making art accessible and theatre that is non-exclusive in form and content. Luca has nationally toured her solo show Learning How To Die, directed by Iain Bloomfield and script advise from Chris Thorpe.

She is currently working with Alex Swift and Seiriol Davies on a new children’s show, which she was shortlisted for Manchester Royal Exchange’s Hodgkiss Award with. Luca is one of Third Angel's 2016 mentees; is working as associate dramaturg on Adam Pownall’s GBS project and with Unlimited Theatre as an engagement practitioner. Luca has written for classical pianist Yoshie Kawamura, making On The Edge of Piano Poetry for Books on Tyne Festival at The Lit & Phil. Luca started making theatre through North14 professional development scheme at Northern Stage with Camisado Club, associate company of Northern Stage, and has since trained in movement and gesture in Italy with IUGTE.
