Amelia is a London based Set and Costume designer. She completed a year as Trainee Designer at the RSC (2014-15) and graduated from RADA in 2013 with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Theatre Design. Amelia originally trained as an Architect and her First Class BA Hons in Architecture was received from the University of Nottingham in 2009. Amelia’s designs for The Itinerant Music Hall were exhibited at the V&A Museum as part of the MAKE/BELIEVE UK Design for Performance exhibition 2015-2016.
Amelia has recently worked with West Yorkshire Playhouse, Young Vic, Bryony Kimmings, Tiata Fahodzi, Bush Theatre and Arcola Theatre. Her work has included designing for new writing, collaborative devising, site-specific and community productions.
Amelia continues to be inspired by the relationship of Architecture and Theatre Design and her initial training very much informs her concepts, development and realisation of her work today. Amelia also regularly leads workshops, most recently at the University of Nottingham and the Old Vic.
