About
I am a creative individual with experience in art, visual culture and film. Throughout university I gained many skills, including technical aspects of filmmaking, strong writing skills and an excellent knowledge of Adobe programs. I was selected to present my dissertation research on Turkish female film at the annual visual culture conference and my BA film won 'Best Student Horror' at the London Independent Film Awards. I also achieved the UWE Futures award from my university for outstanding commitment to my career path.
Since then I have worked various unpaid roles in film production, as a production assistant, in casting and as a runner. I have also undertaken more clerical positions, working as an accounts assistant for two years. Most recently I have been working within the film department at Bradfield College, this role involves managing the practical side of the film studies course, digital marketing, as well as pastoral care of the students.
I enjoy making my own creative work, particularly photography and film based projects. I see myself as quite a sporty person and enjoy hiking, running and playing football. I enjoy volunteering and using my skills to benefit others. Over the last year, I have been working at Pact, a charity to help ex-offenders. My role is to mentor them through the process of returning to life after prison.
I would now like to focus on progressing as a floor runner with the hope of becoming an AD.
