Dan is a freelance director, theatre-maker and dramaturg. He is a founding member of award-winning theatre company Barrel Organ.

Theatre includes: CONSPIRACY (Barrel Organ), Anyone's Guess How We Got Here (UK Tour), We Didn't Script This (Cambridge Junction Young Company), Big Guns (Yard Theatre), Bingo (Pleasance), Lucy, Lucy, & Lucy Barfield (Pleasance) & The Spanish Tragedy (Old Red Lion).

As Associate Director: Daughters of the Sun (Camden People's Theatre).

As Assistant Director: The Prince and the Pauper (New Vic Theatre), The Glass Menagerie (Headlong), Pioneer (curious directive) & Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Royal & Derngate, Royal Exchange, Northern Stage).
