About
Hello, my names Kyle, I am 30 years old and live in Harlow Town. It is my dream to become a cinematographer, because I love to tell stories and the best way for me to do that is with images. I’m a very visual person; I started drawing comics when I was around 8, drawing comics was like storyboarding movies for me at that age.
Since graduating from Film Production and Cinematography at Bournemouth University, I have been fortunate enough to work on some high-end television productions with some super talented industry professionals in the camera department. These magical experiences reinforced my passion, for perusing a permanent career in the camera department. I am fully committed to working my way up the hierarchical ladder, so that one day my dream of creating and capturing professional beautifully composed images will come to life.
I have worked on The Royals (series 3) for E!, Red Dwarf (series 12) and Professor Branestawm (BBC One).
I have also had work experience in the camera department on other TV shows such as Mr Selfridge (ITV), Our Girl (BBC One) and The Interceptor (BBC One)
I am confident setting up a range of high-end monitors, wireless video transmitters and recording devices. I can also efficiently handle lenses and filters and locate a wide range of additional camera accessories. I also have experience setting up a Movi M5.
It is my aim to further develop the knowledge I’ve gained as a camera trainee to become a fully competent 2nd AC. Every day when I am on set I observe how the 2nd AC communicates with the 1st AC and the responsibilities associated with the role, and it ignites an unrivaled passion in me!
I have been taught to edit using Adobe Premier Pro and colour grade using Da Vinci Resolve. I am also able to operate a variety of cameras including Arri Alexa, Arri Mini, Arri SR3, Canon 5D Mark II, Panasonic EAV 1, and the Black Magic Cinema Camera.
