Hi there. My name is Laurie and I'm a Glaswegian playwright. Recent credits include; Scottish Arts Club 'The Flying Artichoke' shortlisted 'Playback' with Stag Hart Productions; Paradise, Edinburgh Fringe 2016; 'CyberBuddy', Hopscotch Theatre, Glasgow; 'The Captain's Heart' part of 'Pre-View', Traverse Theatre Edinburgh. Currently developing; 'The History of a Life', with Modest Predicament Theatre Company; an ecological play, 'The Day the Tides Turned'; and 'Come's Around' - a play about the rise of STIs in the over 65s.

I'm a graduate of the University of Edinburgh's acclaimed MSc in Playwriting; taught by award winning playwright Nicola McCartney.

As an emerging playwright my practice centres around the continued development of my artistic voice and my interaction with audiences. Over the last couple of years I have been developing this voice in line with the range of topics that I am interested in.

This is to me the most exciting thing – engaging with audiences and entertaining them at the same time.
