Guy Natanel is an award-winning filmmaker based in South London. He studied filmmaking at the Met Film School in Ealing Studios (London), and graduated with a B.A. (Hons) in Film and Video Production.
After six years of running his own art-house cinema in Colorado, Natanel sold his theatre to pursue a career as a filmmaker. Upon filming his first documentary Scent of Strawberries, Natanel decided to focus on the modes of documentary storytelling through his projects. He completed his degree with distinction and was commissioned for his first feature-length project, Carrying the Light, immediately after graduation. His latest film The King of Nerac is now out in the festival circuit.
In both past and current film productions, Natanel engages with questions of identity, memory, conflict, belonging, home and exile.
