London and New York based director, and movement director Jessica Rose McVay is a graduate of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School with a MA in Drama Directing and UCLA’s School of Theater Film and Television with a BA in Theater Arts with a specialization in direction, and a minor in Asian Humanities.
Jessica recently directed THE TESTAMENT OF MARY for Loudmouth Collective in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and CRAVE at the Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol, U.K. In 2013 Jessica spent the winter in Taganrog, Russia co-directing a contemporary physical adaptation of ROMEO AND JULIET, which also toured in Italy, and devising and directing a studio piece based on the experiences of the international acting company entitled … OR WHAT I FOUND ACROSS THE BORDER. Other notable directing credits include LOVERS(Balcony Theatre, NY), and SINGLE SERVINGS a six episode web series.
Jessica has been honored to work as an assistant director for Maria Aitken, Ron OJ Parsons and Michael Wilson among others, working at Guthrie Theater, Victory Gardens Theatre, Children’s Theatre Company, Jungle Theatre, and on Broadway.
Jessica is an Associate Member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
