Playwright and teacher

  • Career stage: Experienced

I have loved the theatre since my teens,  directing several community  projects in West Yorkshire while developing my own work at the same time. My first full length play, based around some families at the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis, is currently being produced at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, and will be on stage during March 2016.

I enjoy working collaboratively, and have a particular interest in social history. My parents are from the Caribbean and I love exploring cross cultural and ancestral themes.

I also like writing poetry and plan to develop a local show based on some of my work. I teach English across Bristol and am passionate about education.
