About
I'm a playwright who gets most of his kicks out of playing with sound, the doorway to the imagination. As such, it has played a major role in my work, from radio plays I've produced and shows I've presented, to my own folk songs I write and record in my spare time. In addition, studying a Media Production course at Bournemouth University has allowed me to experiment and gain confidence in using audio editing software such as Adobe Audition and Avid Pro Tools.
From a young age I've been interested in TV, Literature, Art, Photography and Music, forms through which I can entertain, surprise, or simply intrigue. Making the audience laugh in the termly school productions was my fondest memory of secondary school; Playing a bumbling Priest, Scrooge, or Basil Fawlty as he attacks his car with a tree branch, gave me the electric thrill of performing that forever inspires my work. Stemming from an interest in Dialogue, I've written plays for Screen, Radio and Stage, as well as expirement with the fantastic array of film and audio equipment they have stored in Bournemouth Media School.
Playing the weekly open mic nights at my local ‘Buffalo Bar’ allows me a musical outlet; performing my songs is probably my favourite way of winding down after a day's work.
