I'm a freelance theatre director and practitioner currently finishing the M.A. in Theatre Direction at LAMDA. I've been directing for four years now which has included working with companies including the RSC, Marlowe Society, Cambridge Greek Play, Secret Cinema, Three's Company, Blackshaw Theatre and livecanon.
I've directed successful fringe productions, adaptations of classics and award-winning new writing. I have received awards for my work in new writing and 24 hour plays as well as being shortlisted multiple times for NSDF.
I am keen to work on classical texts with dynamic staging and bold adaptions which link them to problems in the modern world. I've also been increasingly working on devising with ongoing projects focusing on the treatment and perception of mental health in the UK and political censorship and the legality of homosexuality in Russia. I have also been lucky enough to work with new writing from established writers and competition winners and am keen to continue to cultivate this aspect of my work.
