About
I am a creative screenwriter and have an interest in the arts and consider this an opportunity to take my administrative experience into the industry that I wish to get my foot in the door.
My main interests are all within the realm of storytelling. I have a Masters degree in Play and Screenwriting and have experience writing for both independent theatre and film productions in London. In 2018 I was runner up in Nickelodeon’s international screenwriting competition based in Burbank, California. This involved writing a number of screenplays based on existing shows and my scripts were selected from several thousand entries from all around the world.
As well as a passion for storytelling I have editorial and administrative experience in my current role as Talks and Editorial Manager for Push. As a small not-for-profit company we work in a small team of five. Due to this smaller size it means supporting each other and often performing a variation of tasks outside of my job description when required. Within my role I am responsible for the diary management of the companies events as well as the four freelance presenters/comedians who are responsible for running the events the company puts on. I am responsible for all the administration of the company. Organising transport, accommodation, expenses, passes and legal documentation for the presenters when required.
I consider the opportunities that this role would offer me to be the next logical step in my personal and professional development and would relish the challenges that it would bring.
