When not still dreaming of being the WWE world heavyweight champion, Robert has acting and writing experience in theatre, film and TV in addition to his directing credentials. He spent two years training on the Second Light filmmaking scheme funded by the UK film council. As an actor, he has worked on productions such as BBC's Silent Witness, Austrian TV drama 'Der Swarze Lovre' and numerous short films. His theatre credits include performing at the Soho and Almedia Theatres working with playwrights such as Barrie Keefe and Roy Williams. Most recently he toured around Northern Ireland for the theatre production Arrivals 2 produced by Terra Nova Productions.
As a writer, Robert has previously won a prize at the ACT One Act playwrighting competition for his play 'titled' Roulette . He has been part of the young writers programme at the Royal Court Theatre and as a director, Robert has directed and produced music videos, club promos and corporate videos for clients such as Barclays and HSBC.
Robert’s previous short film Morning Glory which is a colourful coming of age story about best friends Tanya and Candice having vowed to always be there for each other. But when Tanya announces she’s been accepted into the army, she risks losing Candice for good. The film was funded via kickstarter having raised over £3000 and had a successful festival run across the UK having been screened in various festivals such as the East End film festival and the British Urban Film festival and various international film festivals.
Robert is currently working on various short films and feature film projects at present.
