Guleraana Mir is a writer and creative facilitator. She is head of Education & Outreach at The Thelmas and delivers a range of workshops in community settings using theatre, storytelling and movement to explore diversity, inspire creativity, and to build communication skills, as well as exploring PSHE topics in schools. Guleraana was one of the first writers to be included in the Almeida Theatre Projects team, working with young people in schools to create plays inspired by the MainStage production. She is currently working with Rightful Place Theatre to develop a play for the company.
Her first full-length Coconut is currently playing at Ovalhouse (co-producing with The Thelmas) 11-28th April, followed by a regional tour.
Her work has been supported by Tamasha Theatre, as part of their playwriting group 2016/2017, Theatre Delicatessen, RichMix, Park Theatre’s Script Accelerator 2016 and New Diorama’s BAMER programme.
Guleraana is committed to new writing and co-founded the London Playwriting Lab, a script development initiative for playwrights and is a reader for the New Jersey Young Playwrights Competition.
