Oscars for Skills Fund contributors 1917 and Judy

Congratulations to Film Skills Fund contributors 1917 and Judy for their wins at the 92nd annual Academy Awards.

Renée Zellweger picked up the actress in a leading role award for her performance in Judy. Sam Mendes’ First World War drama 1917 picked up three awards for cinematography, sound mixing and visual effects.

Oscars were presented to:

  • Judy: Best actress (Renée Zellweger)
  • 1917: Cinematography (Roger Deakins)
  • 1917: Sound mixing (Mark Taylor and Stuart Wilson)
  • 1917: Visual effects (Guillaume Rocheron, Greg Butler and Dominic Tuohy)

A big thank you to Judy and 1917, as well as nominees Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, for paying into the Film Skills Fund which supports training in the industry.
