Congratulations to the slate of productions that paid into the ScreenSkills Film Skills Fund that have been recognised at this year’s British Independent Film Awards.

With five awards Rocks - including best British independent film - was the big winner of the evening.

The Father beat Saint Maud in the best screenplay category and its lead actor Anthony Hopkins was recognised with the best actor award. Saint Maud director Rose Glass won the Douglas Hickox Award for best debut director and the feature also received honours in the best cinematography category.

Limbo went home with the breakthrough producer award, Perfect 10 with the discovery award and The Reason I Jump was acknowledged in the best sound category. Misbehaviour beat fellow Skills Fund contributors Ammonite and Saint Maud in the race for the best costume award and Mughal Mowgli went home with the debut screenwriter and best music awards.

We are delighted that so many productions that paid into the Film Skills Fund, which supports skills and training in UK film, have been recognised.
