ScreenSkills has appointed a dedicated Animation Production Liaison Executive. Abigail Addison will be the main point of contact for all business related to the Animation Skills Fund. The appointment follows the relaunch of the Animation Skills Council earlier this year.

As a producer and the director of the agency Animate Projects, Abigail has a wealth of industry experience. She recently co-produced the BAFTA-nominated experimental animation short I’m OK with the National Film Board of Canada. She is currently working on the experimental short Chado and the multi-disciplinary project Thanatos: The Scent of Death. Abigail also works with Animation Skills Council members Lupus Films and sits on the Advisory Board of Animation Alliance UK. Abigail will work on a part-time basis for ScreenSkills alongside her production work.

Abigail says: “I am pleased to be joining ScreenSkills at a point when the animation sector is truly thriving in the UK. I look forward to working with the Animation Skills Council and training providers to see how we can upskill the workforce to meet the demands of the industry.”
