Salary survey for the games industry

The Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) recently recommended to the UK Government that employers should have to provide a salary of at least £30,000 before being able to apply for a visa with which to recruit skilled Tier 2 overseas workers.

TIGA, the UK trade association for the games industry, is concerned that this salary threshold is not appropriate for the games industry and is not based on games industry evidence. They are inviting employers to consider participating in their annual salary survey.  

With eight years of data and a credible, robust and significant, sample size, the TIGA Salary Survey provides an established, comprehensive and trustworthy source of critical market data for the participating companies. 

By taking part in this project, employers can help the games industry to engage with the government and the MAC to influence the UK’s future migration system. They will also receive a high-quality report written by a trusted third party with data on employee salaries, benefits, demographics, turnover and attrition. All data relating to employees is anonymised in the final report.
