Every Sense, a specialist consultancy for developing creative agencies, has delivered a series of courses for post-production and visual effects professionals. Nearly 100 people attended workshops in London, Bristol and Glasgow, covering topics such as developing effective client relationships and negotiating skills.
Chiara Masini, junior production coordinator at visual effects company Lexhag, said: “The workshop was really useful and I loved being able to listen to and exchange ideas with many individuals with such different experiences: that has a great value to me.”
Trainer Angela Law said: “It has been an absolute privilege to research, develop and deliver the courses. The courses are very participative and there is a lot of group work and collaboration.
“It was fantastic to see people from houses that would normally see themselves as competitors working together to develop ideas, swap experiences, debate strategies and share best practice.”
The courses – which were funded by the High-end TV Skills Fund – were attended by professionals working for post and VFX companies including ClearCut, JellyFish Pictures and Molinare and their job roles ranged from line producer, post producer and VFX producer to production coordinator, senior producer and post production manager.
Feedback on the sessions was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees stating that they found the course “excellent, with many useful takeaways” as well as “thoroughly enjoyable and thought-provoking”.
