Employers invited to register interest in apprenticeship QA

Screen employers are invited to register interest in joining the employer board of the newly appointed body responsible for quality assuring the assessment of apprentices. The move will put employers at the centre of the quality process.

The call-out for employers to take part in this work follows the appointment of NSAR to take over the External Quality Assurance (EQA) of screen apprenticeships.

End-point assessment (EQA) of apprenticeships is a key feature of the apprenticeship system because it assures fair assessment at the conclusion of an apprenticeship.

The process completes the quality loop which starts with employers creating the initial apprenticeship standards, through delivery to the end-point assessment. 

NSAR will deliver an employer-led approach as they already do for the rail, digital and logistics sectors. Central to this will be the recruitment of a ScreenSkills Employer Board.
