Help us update the creative modern apprenticeship framework in Scotland

ScreenSkills is asking for industry feedback on its update of the creative media modern apprenticeship framework for Scotland, which covers roles in content production and production support for film, TV, radio, audio and journalism.

We have been working with leading employers, training providers, regulatory and professional bodies in Scotland to revise the creative media diploma - the qualification that sits at the heart of the framework.

The qualification review is now complete, and we are moving into the final stage of the apprenticeship review. The summary of the changes to the apprenticeship can be downloaded here.

Please invite anyone else who might want to participate in the consultation.

To make sure that the updated apprenticeship reflects industry needs, we encourage professionals to send any feedback to krisztina.biliczky@screenskills.com by 5pm on Wednesday 15 January 2020.

If you choose to give feedback, we would like to ask you to consider the following three things when looking at the revised apprenticeship:

  • Do you support the revisions to the apprenticeship, and if so, would you consider taking apprentices?
  • Do you agree with the inclusion of the NCTJ Diploma as an optional element of the apprenticeship for Journalism apprentices?
  • If you are a Scottish training provider would you consider offering the apprenticeship?
